Celebrate the beautiful blooms of thousands of dogwood trees in the Idabel area with a visit to the springtime Dogwood Days Festival. Held annually the first Saturday in April, festivities will include a myriad of craft vendors, children's games, live entertainment and more. Enjoy delicious fair food under the sparkling white dogwood blooms while browsing through the festival's retail sidewalk sales. The Dogwood Days Festival will also include a 5K run and walk, volleyball tournament, Easter "eggstravaganza," barbecue cook-off and more. Kick up your heels and compete against the locals in the event's dance contest and country showdown, or spend the afternoon wandering through the on-site RV and boat show.

A spring tradition in Idabel, the Dogwood Days Festival features something for everyone and prides itself on providing good, old-fashioned family entertainment. Bring the entire family and enjoy a bike show, chainsaw carving demonstrations, free concert, scavenger hunt, dance troupes, and even a lawn and garden show. Travel to the southeast Oklahoma town of Idabel for activities that will last throughout the afternoon, and then take a short trek over to neighboring Beavers Bend State Park for a stunning scenic drive lined with native dogwood trees.
