A lush paradise within the urban landscape, the Myriad Botanical Gardens & Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory is a premier destination in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City.  The Myriad Botanical Gardens is a 15-acre area featuring an impressive community-oriented outdoor space that is a hub of activity.

Take a walk through the gardens to watch the serene stream and calming waterfalls flow throughout, sit for a while on a bench and listen to the sounds of the city or admire the unique plants and flowers that dot the landscape.  Bring a furry friend along to the gardens for a run or jog, and stop by the dog park, where Fido can play with other dogs.

During the warmer months, the awe-inspiring, interactive Thunder Fountain cools off young visitors as it replicates the cycle of a thunderstorm, complete with heavy downpours followed by water-flower blossoms. The fountain operates from 10am-8pm daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day with routine closures for maintenance.

In the Children's Garden kids have the opportunity to climb, jump and play among the gardens in a colorful and imaginative playground with grassy mounds, oversize letters and metal structures. Sunday night concerts and art exhibits lend a well-rounded cultural flare to the Gardens programming. In the winter, the gardens become part of Downtown in December with an ice skating rink and a variety of seasonal programs.

The showpiece of the Myriad Botanical Gardens is the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory, a 224 foot-long round glass structure featuring more than 1,000 species of eye-catching plants from every continent except Antarctica.  Divided into two regions, the tropical rainforest zone and the dry tropical zone, the conservatory features walking paths that lead guests on an adventure behind a waterfall and up to the tops of giant palms.  Walk above the treetops on the catwalk and look down into the greenery for a bird's eye view.  Endangered palm trees, begonias, bromeliads and over 1,500 orchids are showcased.  Yellow and black zebra longwing butterflies and free-roaming amphibians live within the conservatory, and a sunken lake is home to Japanese koi.

In 2015, the park was recognized with the Urban Open Space Award by the Urban Land Institute. This global competition rewards excellence in large and small scale public spaces that provide social enrichment and help to revitalize their surrounding communities.
